Carbon Market Research
Voluntary Carbon Markets and Natural Climate Solutions Research
The goal of this research project is to research the use of carbon credits in the food and beverages industry, including those from Natural Climate Solutions within a company’s decarbonization strategy. We will be reviewing scope 3 emission accounting best practices, identify current challenges, and investigate how supply chain emission reductions (aka carbon insetting) should be treated.
Controlled Environment Agriculture
Klimate Consulting is spearheading the creation of a CEA technology catalog and analyzing the impact of these technologies on water, energy, and emissions, as part of a $2.5 million DOE initiative led by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This project focuses on sustainable food production, optimizing CEA facilities nationwide to reduce environmental footprints and enhance local food security.
